About the Author
Z emigrated to the U.S. in 1959, studied at the University of Chicago, and trained with Second City. Influenced by her spiritual heritage, she practiced Goddess worship and later became active in the women’s liberation movement in Los Angeles. Seeing a need for spirituality in feminism, she founded the Women’s Spirituality Movement and the Susan B. Anthony Coven No. 1, inspiring countless groups. Her book The Holy Book of Women’s Mysteries became a key guide for Goddess spirituality. Arrested in 1975 for reading Tarot, she lost the trial but helped overturn the law. She has since led rituals, taught, and written extensively.

What People Are Saying About Z’s Legacy
to empower and transform lives worldwide.
For those women who are Pagan/Wiccan, you owe it to yourself to read this book. Even if you aren't Dianic, it holds many answers for women with open minds. It has been my bible for more than 30 years and I'm a legally ordained High Priestess.
It is a great book but not one to start with. Someone who has read some material before and knows more on the path is probably better equiped to discern the valid information in this book. Don't get me wrong it is a great book as I already have stated with a lot to learn from and a way of thinking original and worth exploring but as time has passed from the first publication a lot of the information included is out of date. Having said this, I recomend this book to the seasoned practitioner who wants a more feministic approach and a lot of Goddess only centered material to explore.
